Little Miss Muffet

When I was little I had an aunt that would read me nursery rhymes and other folk stories.  I always loved the Jack In The Beanstalk story.  Not sure why, but I did.

So today, in memory of some nursery rhymes, let's look at one nursery rhyme that came to life for us just this past Saturday as we were doing some landscaping.

Little Miss Muffet
Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet
Eating her curds and whey,
Along came a spider
That sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away!

In our case, along came a Samba and smashed it into eternity!

Notice the large, darkened area on the toe area of exhibit A.  Yea.
That spider is no longer going to breed and leave a legacy of fear for Little Miss Muffet here on our property!

I know this doesn't give you any idea of the actual size of the spider, but let's just say that I took this picture with our zoom lens and I was pretty far away!  Good heavens!  What if it was some sort of new, 21st century flying spider?  What if it would have jumped on my face?  I would have died right there.

I can now go to bed peacefully.

Smashing one spider at a time,
Tammy
