Willow suffers not in our home.
She is somehow managing to snag a little shuteye... It is hard for puppies. Her poor puppy feet barely touch the ground. She gets woofled by the kids and cuddled and it wears her out. So she runs to the heater vent and sleeps.
When she does manage to get a little burst of energy, she goes and asserts herself as the king of the hill. Someone has to be the boss around here and it might as well be her.
However, Duchess doesn't think so!
She might win the battle, but not the war!
If only there was a bubble with the words, "You see what I have to deal with? Why did you bring ANOTHER one home? One was enough..." That is absolutely what goes on inside Brutus' head. I know it because I watch him everyday. It makes me laugh.
Brutus wishes she would go away. "Can't she go back to where she came from?"
So his defense mechanism is to avoid eye contact. It's all he has. Brutus refuses to look at Willow. "If I don't look at her, then she isn't there..."
This is what he does. When Willow comes close to him he gets all tense. He then refuses to make eye contact with Willow. No joke. If she jumps in his face he will look the other way. He will only look at her out of his peripheral vision. It has to be one of the funniest things I have seen! Hmm, I might have to video tape that one and put it on here.
Meanwhile, Willow sleeps some more...
Most lovingly,
The Sometimes Beverly Hillbilly's
