Some of the flora and fauna growing in our woods.
Signs of spring are bursting forth from the rain laden ground. Wildflowers are popping open and displaying their wondrous colors given to them by God.
I did mention rain, right? We have had enough that if we lived on lower ground, I might be inclined to start building an ark! However, the grass is starting to turn a lovely shade of green, instead of the dead, brown look it acquires over the winter. People are even mowing!
Some other flowers that are popping up:
And last, but not least:
Morels
For some of you, there will be heart palpitations from these pictures!
OH YEA! Cream of mushroom soup, here we come!

Awesome. I found about 30 or 40 mushrooms in our woods on Wednesday night. We promptly cooked them about 9pm and IT FELT GOOD! Yummy! But your mushrooms are bigger than mine.
30-40?!!!!! Wow! We haven't had that many this year. I suppose we could have had that many but maybe my neighbor snuck out and did a little five finger pick up!! Haha!
