Well, you know that Rodger has glasses for his lack of stable eyes. I also have glasses. I can't see three feet in front of me without my glasses. We are a nerd headquarters in the making. Up until recently we have not had one child that was exhibiting signs of needing glasses. Alas, it filtered down through the gene pool and we have a winner!
She picked these out herself.
We didn't end up going to our regular optometrist this time around because of time. We have a lot going on in the next few weeks and we were able to get into the place we went to rather quickly. We do know the eye doctor we saw and he is a very kind man.
I have to say that his staff is a little... interesting.
When Sophie picked out her glasses that she wanted we went over to the desk area and the gal that was doing the paperwork looked at them and started laughing. She was laughing at her choice of glasses. As she laughed at her glasses she proceeded to look at Sophie and ask her if she was going to wear them to Prom. Like maybe she could find a dress to match the glasses. Really? Fortunately my daughter is able to laugh at the situation. In fact, she was having a hard time trying to not laugh at the lady for laughing at her. One big laugh fest...
So, if you need a boost in making sure that you or your loved ones feel like an idiot for getting a certain type of glasses, we can direct you to that special place. Apparently this is one of the free services they offer with the purchase of the glasses.
So Sophie is excited about her glasses. She is now calling herself a nerd. It think they look great on her and she looks like a librarian. Goes with her nerdy thoughts of herself!
Now we'll just wait and see who gets the next lotto jackpot! One down, three more to go.
Tammy
