Expanding the horizons

Y'all need to check out this blog I just recently found...  by this cute girl I *might* know...
http://lovelensandlomoish.blogspot.com/

Since she isn't necessarily into writing words for a blog, she is going to go for the "a picture is worth a thousand words" approach!  You never know, you might see some words from the heart somewhere along the way.

Sophie will be using that Mac Daddy camera I referred to in a recent post.  She loves that camera as much as I do.  I mean, when a teenager asks for any version of photoshop for her birthday, you know it's bad.

I'm excited for what she'll be presenting.  It will be as much a surprise for me as for you all!

On a few other fronts, we are shaking up the schooling this year.  Actually, quite a bit.  Josh is going to go to school full time for his last two years of school (did I just type "his last two years"!!!!!).  Where did that time go?!?  Sophie is taking two classes at a local school where she is also going to run cross country.  For the first time ever.  Have you ever seen a ballerina run?  I haven't, so this should be fun.
Zach is going to school, and Chloe is going to be home.  All by her little lonesome self.  With me all to herself for hours on end...  I'm really looking forward to what this year has for us, but especially for that focused time with Chloe because she has struggled with reading and it is going to be good to not have constant interruptions.  We will be able to focus on that and do some intensive intervention.  We are also going waaaaay off of the beaten path for me.  We are going to use The Prairie Primer for the bulk of her education.  It is a curriculum based on the Little House On The Prairie series.  I would have loved doing this when I was a little girl!  So yea, I must be living vicariously through her.

We are gearing up for the school year and spending money likes it's going out of style.  Josh and Zach both have to have uniforms, but Sophie doesn't.  Toss in school supplies and you've got us bumping up the economy.  I'm all about helping our fellow man any way we can.

I will be showing some pictures of cake pops that we are doing tonight.  Personally, I can't wait to taste the finished product!  Ideas from Bakerella!  That woman has it going on with cuteness for a product and taste!  Unfortunately I'm not as creative as her or I would have been the one to make the millions...
