This is baby Abel. He is cute. He is soft. He is cuddly. And he is not mine. He makes me want one more. Instead, I just cuddled him. Then I had to share. THAT is not fair. At all.
So anyway, we had a wonderful time of worship yesterday morning. I have said it before and I will say it again, we are truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful fellowship and to know they care for us as we do them!
However, the kids, while very well behaved during the "churchy" part, were biding their time to cut loose and go play! And play they did!
We have some quality country kids in our fellowship and as such, they are not afraid of a little stunt work!
The family whose house we were at has a son that is Josh's age, and they also have three younger kids. The younger ones have this cute little riding toy for them to play on. Usually it is kept on a lower, more flat lying area. "Usually" is the key to this sentence. Here, let me show you the riding toy:
Except this day the riding toy became a health hazard to any brave child willing to risk life and limb by going down "the big hill". Some kamikaze child relocated said toy to a larger hill area because HELLO WORLD!!! This is NO FUN unless someone could possibly get hurt!
It was officially ON!
Now this fine young lady was just simply helping a brother out. Just a little nudge and you're off! Oh, and she wasn't about to get on that car! You can get killed on that thing now! Do you see that hill?
Remember what I said earlier, it is no fun unless someone could get hurt?
We've got a wounded soldier.
Scrape him up and move him on! There are others pining away for that kamikaze ride!
The day wasn't complete until someone got some "air". Insert ramp. The big kids went for air. Mission accomplished.
There was also a trampoline. This is my son flopping on the trampoline like a fish out of water. If you've ever watched "A Bugs Life", you remember the pill bugs, Tuck and Roll? Yea, that is Zach. He has a career as a stunt man in his future. He will come running out of nowhere and jump headlong over our ottoman in the living room - arms and body extended into a flat, flying board, then WHAM! He is tucked into a ball and rolling across the room. It is a sight to see and even typing this story out makes me laugh. A. Lot. He does it in front of people we barely know. OH LOOK, is that a pill bug in your house? No. Just Zach. Just one more plug for homeschooling...
Just kidding.
Then there was Jerry. I like Jerry. Jerry is very thoughtful in what he says and does. He also writes songs and poetry. Deep and thoughtful poetry. He is a great young man!
During the summer months we have one week a month where we meet in homes. It is always so much fun and such an intimate time of being able to talk and share what is going on in each others lives.
If you happen to be in the area and want to join us, drop me a note. We'd love to have you.
We won't even make you ride the kamikaze rides the kids set up!

Great blog Tammy. Loved the pics.
We TOTALLY need one of those cars/ramps!
Jodi, you do totally need one of those! But only if you beef up the fear factor and make it crazy ;)
