Well. Here we are. I think it would be safe to say that I have entered the blog-o-sphere! Seems like it is all the rage these days! Frankly, I don't exactly know what I'll be writing about in a specific sense. Like, what is my main theme going to be concerning this blog. I think that I would like to explore the possibility of writing and expression of thoughts and this is a great place to start ~ you know, moving it from my brain to putting it "out there".
Oh there is plenty of blog fodder in our lives, to be sure! Being married, having kids, animals, friends, family. Yes, there is fodder aplenty to put on a blog!
I am thinking of putting my life out here because God has given much and perhaps He can use me to encourage one person in this walk we are all on. I will do recipes. I will share embarassing moments. I will share funny moments - which are a daily occurance around here. I will hopefully be vulnerable because what you see is what you get with our family. My aim in life is to not present myself to the public and then live some other way behind our family doors!
I wouldn't say that being a "religious" person is necessarily the most popular item selling on the internet these days, but we are a Christian family. Our faith and hope rests in who Jesus is and what He has done for me personally. That has been the leading factor in my life since 1990. Am I perfect or without faults? Not quite! Am I a work in progress? Indeed I am. My life was transformed not so much in one fell swoop, but through a time process. That tranformation is still occurring. I married my love, Rodger, at 22 and we started our family with children a year and half later.
Personally, I think we have four fantastic children. They are all so special in their own way and have strengths that make them who they are! I have been so blessed to be able to be home with them for these 15 years. Not only have I been a stay at home mom, but we chose to homeschool early on. That was one of the best choices we ever made! It is definitely not alway pixie dust and rainbows over here! That wouldn't quite be "keeping it reel", now would it? Would I trade it for anything in the world? Never! We truly have been blessed because of this choice to be involved in an indepth level with our children!
So this is a smidgen of who we are. I'm excited to start putting my thoughts down here. I would like to say that what comes out of this brain will make you smile or be thougth provoking. Sometimes it might challenge me too. I will look forward to the interaction that we can have. Shoot, maybe there won't be any "we" in this and there might only be ME! That is ok, because I am doing this to see where God takes me!
Blessings to you!
